Key Qualifications:

I have more than 30 year's experience as an water resources engineer, researcher, educator and modeller in Canada, United States and India. My work has primarily focussed on agricultural water management and source water protection through investigation of fundamental process of soil erosion, hydrology, irrigation and drainage, irrigation with saline water, modelling and management of non-point source pollution, as evident by the publications in Asia, Europe and North America. Several graduate students from Asia, Africa, Far East and Middle East have worked on agricultural, soil and water management problems related to their countries under my supervision.

In addition, I have provided technical assistance to extension agents, government officials in planning, design, development, management and evaluation of irrigation and drainage systems, both surface and sub-surface drainage, soil erosion control practices and structures, and water harvesting. I have been involved in the development of models, nomographs and computer software for management of water quantity and quality at the farm scale and watershed scale.

For seven years I have the experience of managing graduate program in biological, environmental, engineering systems and computing and water resources engineering.
