The Hydrotechnical Division of the Canadian Society for Civil
Engineering offers support to graduate civil engineering students in
Canadian universities who agree to submit literature surveys on
hydrotechnical topics on the Division's web site and/or to the
Canadian Journal of Civil Engineering,

Suggested topic areas include, but are not limited to:
Gravel Bed Rivers
Ice Covered Rivers
Urban Drainage
Engineered Wetlands
Hydraulic Structures
Numerical Modelling

All submissions will be considered for publication on the Division's
web site. The top three will be awarded honoraria at the May 1998
Annual CSCE Conference, in the amounts of $500, $300, and $200.
Selection will be made by the Research Subcommittee of the
Hydrotechnical Division, based on the perceived need for a
state-of-the-art survey of the topic, the quality of the submission
and expectation of successful publication in the Canadian Journal of
Civil Engineering.
